dropped legacy

Were any of you legacies dropped immediately after philanthropy? What house was it and what was your experience? Were you surprised you were dropped?

im an adpi legacy and i was dropped after philanthropy. honestly it wasn't a good match anyway and i ended up getting the house that i liked better. i wasn't super surprised that i got dropped because i had a low gpa and adpi is focused on grades.

Tons of legacies get dropped by their house. There are almost always more legacies for certain houses than there are spots in a pledge class. And there are non-legacies they want too, so just not enough room to keep everyone.

I think they have to cut you after second round or else give you a bid. Is this right?

No. They can keep you if they're unsure and cut you before pref if they decide they don't like you.
