honestly..shacking

by: serious

So when you're a pledge, I've heard that you're not allowed to shack with a guy or "go upstairs." And I've heard Tut is kinda strict with guys and everyone is in your business. So are you not allowed to hookup while you're a freshman? Are some houses stricter about this than others? I've even heard that some houses make you get approval before you hookup/date a guy

pledge period is ~8 weeks. after that you can shack and go upstairs and do whatever. depending on your experience having guys come to your dorm might not work but you can shack with him after you're initiated

If you get initiated and then start doing this in my house and get known for it then Standards Board is going to get involved.

Excuse me but have you ever met a frat guy or a sorority girl? Yeah, dating is a concern. I'm sure OP has many others, but this is actually a legit question since partying and shacking make up part of greek life

The biggest rules for sororities while you're a pledge is to just not go upstairs in a frat house. This rule is just so you don't develop a bad reputation within the first few weeks of school and also so you don't make your house look bad. If you go to a swap while you're a pledge you can go home with whoever you want. More than likely you're going to only be around other freshmen so you can go back to his dorm. Tut is sort of strict with guys... But they just need to be out by 2am (or you can have them stay the night). But if you do have a guy in Tut please be courteous of your roommate!

And to my knowledge, no houses make you get approval before hooking up with a guy. Just be safe and make clear judgements that will reflect highly upon you and your house.
