Tbh while I would wear totally different outfits now (I’m from the northwest and had a totally different style than Alabama girls and I dress differently now that I’ve been at school here), the biggest thing I’d change was hair and makeup.
I’d never had to deal with humidity even close to August in Alabama so my hair and makeup looked horrible because I didn’t know how to stop it from melting

Agree with this. I’m from the south but I have super unmanageable hair and by midweek I was so frustrated I had pretty much given up on hair and makeup. Looking back I wish I had just woken up earlier to get it done even though I was exhausted.
If it makes northern/western girls feel better, the girls from the south who can keep their makeup on just don’t sweat. The rest of us struggle as much as you do lol
