boyfriend from another school
by: Pnm
So I'm still dating my boyfriend from high school (about to be a freshman) and he is going to another school 2 hours away. Is there anyway it could work out, with so much time commitments and everything? Does anyone else have a significant other at another school and could give advice?
Thanks

Are you going here and he is at a "traditional" colllege or staying at home at a 2 yr.
If he is enjoying the college life style like you. It is 50/50 and that is being nice.
If you are here and he is still at home then cut your losses it won't work. He will want to visit amd won't fit in

It could definitely work out but communication and trust is extremely important!!! My freshman year I had a boyfriend back home up North and it actually wasn't that bad... Obviously we missed seeing each other and everything but we would text constantly and call each other at night and stuff. And we were always extremely open about what was going on in our lives, especially at parties and stuff... When I would go to swaps I would always tell him what went on and I would never drink to the point that I wasn't conscious of making my own decisions.
That being said, my freshman year roommate also had a boyfriend back home in Florida and they rarely spoke... He was busy with his school and the extracurricular activities he did so they rarely texted or spoke on the phone. I remember he would text her in the middle of the day just saying hi, then he wouldn't reply to her for the rest of the day, and then text her goodnight when he would go to bed. So obviously there was little communication and they ended up breaking up because of it.
Overall, trust and open communication is a must. If y'all really care about each other then you guys shouldn't have a problem... But if you do, just remember everything happens for a reason. Good luck :)

I'm going to be a freshman but for my whole my senior year my boyfriend was in college. He was about 6 hours away. Honestly you just have to trust each other and make sure you're completely honest about everything that goes on. If you're trying to keep a secret, don't try and hide it. You'll just look shady. It's easier to jus communicate

OP: He's going to a traditional college and he wants to pledge a fraternity there.
