kd and kappa

This is true. If that fits you, fine. If you are wanting more out of colleges a sisterhood that participates, do not pledge KD. If you want a classy sisterhood, don't pledge either. This is not intended to deceive. It is the truth and that does fit some people fine-- but be sure you know. There are lots of lonely girls in kd especially.

This may hold true for KD...not as much for KKG!

Thank you kappa, but this is true. I like kappa and the sisterhood is good bc everyone is in the same social frame of mind. It is party heavy and somewhat involved but after you get your pledges from old families who literally do nothing, you fill with literally the most do nothing girls from all over. The girls from my high school weren't even on the radar and did nada.

You are right, kd is even worse bc there are cliques and the old legacy girls who care about doing things are shoved to the background. They are not involved in things because they do not care. This is truly not the old kd. Take a look at public videos and instagrams before you say this is all false. They are not held to standards and it shows. Just know what you are getting like op said.

almost every KD i know who is a junior is like totally over it and would drop if they actually had to pay for the dues but they don't (daddy does) so they hang around and do nothing but the date parties. These same girls were basically over it day 1 and certainly barely interested sophomore year. just saying.

Kappas stay in longer. KD checks out or never checked in. Here is the gist: they pledge for the name, it looks fun on the outside. The name is no longer good bc they let in too many slackers with bad reps so the top girls (meaning the ones with good reputations and resumes) do not pledge here. The ones who end up doing it are the ones who are frustrated.

It is sad but pnms need to be warned and that's all you can do.

If you want to be around the best girls ( meaning all around top of hs and college) don't go kd and prob not kappa either tbh. Both from my high school do not have the cream of the crop.

It's such BS that return rates are "dramatically different".

Active numbers are very consistent house to house as are new members numbers. No one has to recruit notably fewer girls nor shows much higher active totals. There is no math to "much higher retentions".

And the blatant attack on specific houses is so lame.

i don't know who is posting but doubt axo or xo. They don't need to. No one likes KD bc they don't participate. I think this thread is helpful to girls knowing what a sorority is like.

honestly though, if KD or Kappa decided to put in some effort and participate, or tried to get girls with good activities that weren't just MB legacies, y'all would jump down their throats like you do AOII with their "Alpha O" rebranding. No one will ever be happy until their sorority is the only house on the row. If you don't like these groups, don't join them. PNMs aren't idiots, they'll be able to tell if they fit in or not. This isn't enlightening anyone.

That is sadly not true. The presentation you see in rush and the excitement of pledging an OR sorority can keep you from thinking what it will be like when rush is over.

The facts are that they don't encourage involvement and girls should know that. It's the attitude that has lost them many a top pnm and legacy.

You would be wrong there. KD did not participate in Greek week or derby days. If they say they did, it was so weak they didn't make the scoreboard. They do not encourage girls to be active on campus. That doesn't mean they discourage it. But they do not encourage it. Girls here are lazy in general so they don't care.
