Why isn't KD and AGD desirable ?

They are desirably for instate girls from certain areas. But for OOS girls (which make up the majority of PNMs) they come off as very exclusive and snobby thus why they're not popular among the OOS girls.

They think they're exclusive, but they're really not. They don't have their pick of the litter in rush - they're known for taking leftovers. Zero reason for either of them to be snobby.

Stop making your perceptions of certain houses off this site. Go thru rush and make your own determinations of which houses you like

They just aren't. Both are trying to hang on to their glory days of the 1980s. They'll tell you and all the PNMs that they're top tier, but look at any ranking on this site and you'll see they're not.

They just haven't recruited well for many, many years. It's left them with mixed pledges classes with lots of filler girls. The top girls usually go AXO, XO, KKG, PM and DDD and then KD and AGD take what's left.

That being said, AGD has good grades and is more involved. KD's grades are average at best and they literally do nothing. I think they skipped out on Greek week and derby days. AGD has a reputation for being 1/2 judgmental goodie goodies and 1/2 closet partiers. KD has a reputation for having a very cliquey house and just generally being b.i.t.c.h.y.

KD is still holding on with some good town Gump and mobile legacies. Agd has some pull still in mb and maybe hville. Otherwise, undesired legacies and daughters of alum friends. So not good.

They're decent houses. Ranked about #6 (kd) and #7 (agd). Can PNMs do better than these two houses? Yes. Can they do worse? Yes.

A better question than "WHY?" is "WHAT do people posting here get from ranking them so low?" and that answer is "they make a higher rank for their own group".

"Ranking them so low?" Those are their actual ranks. Ranking them "so low" would be saying they're "#14 and #15."

Always be willing to meet people from Alabama's Kappa Delta and Alpha Gamma Delta chapters in person whenever possible to form this type of opinion for your self. Relying upon anonymous chat boards, containing incomplete, biased and unreliable information, is not the way our grandparents met friends and influenced people.
