late recs!

I sent my packets out June 1st and included the rec deadline. I just found out some of my family friends "forgot" and just mailed them in, past the deadline. Both of my PiPhi recs were late as well as a few others. Will I automatically be cut after IWT??

My recs got sent in on time but some additional recs were past the deadline. Would the late extra recs hurt me?

At this point there's no way to know whether or not a house will read your rec after the deadline so just go through the process and pray for the best. If you're cut after IWTs you'll know why.

Even If one rec did get in before the deadline, I'd be cut because my second rec was sent after?

Usually one rec is enough and we say "get two" in case a writer forgets/is late/falls through. Either way pray for the best because no one can say whether or not you'll be cut. Even girls with 2 recs per house and a reasonable GPA don't often have a full schedule (I know I didn't).

I had five recs for pi phi (all close family/friends who I felt bad saying no to) and they still cut me after IWT so you can never really blame it on recs vs no recs
