poll: did u end up in the house u wanted b4 rush?

I didn't have my heart set on anything but I liked tri delt going into rush... However during IWT I fell in love with a house that wasn't even on my radar going in (almost didn't even get a rec for them) and that's where I pledged!

Really cool to see this to help solidify the "going in with an open mind" advice

before recruitment, I thought I had it all figured out. I was SO wrong. I essentially picked out the houses I would and wouldn't accept a bid from, and after the first round, that entirely changed. After a few tears (hey, only human), I fell in love with a different house in philanthropy and ended up there. If any of you PNMs out there get cut from the house you thought was your top choice after knowing them for about 20 minutes in total, just re-assess the game plan for the next round. Those are the only houses that matter!

I knew the moment I visited bama what house I wanted to be in and I got it.

I had picked out a few houses that I thought I would love(typically more involved, "smarter" houses) but the house that I fell in love with is definitely not where I expected to be at all. I still love my house and can't see myself anywhere else!

I narrowed it down ahead of time to three I thought I wanted. Preffed two of them but the third was way off base from what I thought. Wish I'd had a more open mind.
