transfers
by: ....Is it true some girls go to other less competitive schools to get j to a sorority that's top at bama and transfer in? Do those girls take up spots girls rushing at bama would have gotten?

I mean, I'm a PNM, so I don't actually know the answer to your question, but I really hope that the answer is no. I wanna join a sorority, but who cares about it enough to go through all of that?
Wait. After reading some of the stuff on here, I do believe that it happens. Insanity.

Alum 'troll' here. It used to happen a lot in the past. I was in a "top" house back in the day and we ALWAYS had girls who rushed at weaker chapters in the state and then transferred to Bama for spring semester because they wanted to be able to say they were an ABC at UA but they weren't sure they could get in during UA's rush.
Now most (if not all) Panhellenic organizations have some sort of process where transfers must be voted on before they can re-join their organization at another school, and that deters a lot of girls from trying to pull that trick. If someone has a bad reputation, really poor grades, or is just a bad person, the chapter might not accept the transfer.
