Also a PNM so I'm not totally sure but I'd imagine they get their lists either the night of Pref after all MRABAs are turned in or the next morning so that the bid day bigs can be prepared with the signs and stuff.

Hello, I'm the PNM that made this comment. I know what the MRABA is because it's in the Greek Chic and it's also mentioned in a few of the YouTube videos about Recruitment I've watched.

It's usually anywhere from 6 to 8 AM. Everything is already prepared so we just have to write bid cards, name tags, and signs, and then assign bid day bigs

How does a pnm know the term mraba and what is it?

So actives get there around 6 am and find out?

MRABA = Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement. It's the form you sign after pref where you list your houses in order of preference. Once you sign your MRABA and list every pref ceremony you attended you are guaranteed a bid and you agree to accept a bid from any of the houses listed. It's a nationwide thing.

A lot of the intense southern PNMs actually do know what the MRABA is, because they've asked all their older friends/sisters/family members to explain the process in detail multiple times.

Can't answer your second question because I haven't done recruitment from the other side yet.

Usually recruitment team and executive members will be there early to make sure everything is in order. Regular actives will still be there early (7:30/8) to assist. It is a LONG day for all involved

I am southern. I know you sign something. But no pnm except maybe one random intense one knows the term MRABA.

Ok I mean maybe I'm just an exception but the summer before I went through recruitment my sister (rushed 2 years before me) definitely went through every single round with me and what happens during/after, including the ranking process and the MRABA. i was nervous and detail-oriented and yes, I knew what the MRABA was even if I couldn't tell you what it stood for.

No student goes around saying MRABA. It's just the "pref card" or something like that. Geez. Too into it.

The MRABA is in Greek Chic, along with an explanation of what it is. I mean, we've all read it by now, right?

100% agree that half the people on here claiming to be PNMs aren't but the MRABA isn't the thing to trip someone up on. It's in the book and any good PNM has read that book at least twice now.

actives would also know what an MRABA is if they served as RCs. Just because it's not the slang vernacular doesn't mean someone's a troll. go find something real to get your panties in a twist over.
