active bid day outfits

Why do actives on bid day dress up in random cute dresses/rompers instead of dressing up in costumes/outfits that match a theme for their bid day like most other schools?

After a work week and a week or recruitment, the last thing we need to do is customes. We have lots of rich traditions and don't need to implement any new ones.

Already mentioned, since we were not already doing Panhel & national HQ would not like/approve of us startiing costumes. Too fake/skit like.

I doubt we would have to get it approved if we did want to switch to themes. Panhel really has no say on what themes we do as long as they’re not inappropriate since bid day isn’t really a round of rush, and I can’t imagine any reasonable nationals would say no when almost every other chapter in the country does bid day themes. Last year one of my sorority’s traveling consultants actually mentioned how weird it is that we don’t do it

For the record I do like dressing up nice though
