It depends on the situation. Do you mean the girl got a bid from a house but dropped while she was a pledge? If that's the case then yeah the house probably wouldn't want you back unless you dropped for a reason like finances or bad timing but you would have to make that clear to the house.

If you pledge an NPC sorority and drop, you may accept a new bid (from the same sorority or a different one) one calendar year after you sign the original MRABA. So pretty much you have to wait until formal recruitment comes around again to be eligible. However, other sororities will know that you dropped after pledging, and it generally isn't looked on favorably (chances are higher that you'll drop the second bid, and chapters have to think about retention). It's also a little awkward for the chapter you dropped because you will see them at least during IWT round, and you have to participate.
If you are initiated into an NPC sorority and you drop, you are not allowed back in. You may not rejoin your sorority or receive a bid from another NPC sorority. Some sororities will allow you to go "inactive" for a semester or two if the circumstances are right, so you don't have to participate in sorority activities, but you can keep your badge (you may or may not pay dues during this time).

How will they know the girl dropped? I've heard houses don't know unless the girl mentions it or there's signs of it on social media.
