How many girls does a sorority cut after each round (approximate). Do they send in a cut list or a list of ranked girls to match.

There are never a set amount of numbers to anything, or at least in terms of amount of cuts. Most higher ranked houses have a good idea of who they really really want, who they really don't want, and who they want to have stick around just to see if they'd fit. That being said, there are no exact numbers for any house. However, I will say higher ranked houses make the most cuts during the first few days... They're selective because they can be whereas some lower ranked houses only cut for grades, some lower ranked houses only cut for reputation, and some lower ranked houses barely cut at all.

^^^^What? You must have no clue how Release Figure Methodology (RFM) works.

Chapters know exactly the maximum numbers of pnm's they can invite back, therefore, they know the numbers that are released (not invited back).

It's based on a formula of a 3 year avg of returns rates for each party round. Chapters with high return rates %, typically, have to release more pnm's compared to chapters with low return rates that get to invite more pnm's to the various rounds.

The whole process is designed to be equitable for the entire Panhellenic system and so that ALL chapters have the potential to meet quota, but more importantly, more pnm's have the ability to be placed in a sorority.

National Panhellenic RFM works pretty well. Not perfect, but what is. I don't know why anyone would down vote it as it allows all chapters to reach parity and the most PNMs to receive a bid.

And if you are really curious about how lists happen google Release Figure Methodology

No, there is no 'cut list' or ranking by the houses, there are only invitation lists for each round of parties. A PNM receives a list of her invitations back in schedule form. If she is released from all houses with no more invitations she will receive that information personally and privately from her Rho Chi. It doesn't matter to you or anyone how many are released; you can't affect it.

In short, Panhellenic gives each chapter a number based on return rates telling them how many they can release/invite back. The chapter submits two lists: an invite list and a flex list (which may be used if a lot of girls on the invite list drop the house/out of rush etc). Some houses cut a thousand the first round, some cut a hundred.
