I was actually really surprised when DG and AOPi dropped me. I'm from the North, I had a 3.5 GPA, good extracurriculars, clean reputation, and decent appearance, and great conversations in both houses... I'm not trying to hate on either houses, but I just feel that them cutting me was weird considering they're not generally that selective and when they are selective they usually drop girls who have worse resumes than me. To put it in perspective, a few Old Row houses kept me until pref...

Mine and my roommates' was alpha phi. None of us would have ended up there but we all had at least a 4.0 and were surprised when they dropped us after IWT. I know they have a right to cut whoever they want but you'd think they would try a little harder to improve their GPA with their pledge class

mine was aphi because I knew several girls from my high school in that house (OOS) and I thought I'd be a perfect fit. keep in mind I was from so far out of state I didn't know the stereotypes, but i thought "hey we went to the same high school, must be similar"

I was shocked and totally heartbroken when Alpha Chi dropped me after philanthropy, which in hindsight is funny because I'm from far OOS, super liberal, love to party, and definitely not religious so I think Alpha Chi would have been a horrible fit for me (it's an awesome house so not trying to be shady towards them)

Well none of those dropped me. I ended up going a top house but I was very shocked when kappa and KD dropped me the first round (they were the only houses that dropped me all of rush) I had great grades and involvement, and I came from a great family in Texas and hate to say it but I'm cute. I soon found out that unless you're from certain areas of TX (which I'm not) and you don't have a private jet to make up for your area (which I don't have) then you probably won't get into those two houses. On the flip side, I'm glad they dropped me because I wouldn't have fit into the at all. Trust the process!

I was surprised when Alpha Phi and Zeta dropped me right after IWTs. I had a 3.7 unweighted GPA, I was very involved throughout high school, I'm from the Northeast, and I felt that all the conversations in both houses (I spoke to multiple in each house) were fun and flowed well. However, I'm not the most beautiful girl, I'd say I'm more cut than hot, but still. But it was still surprising that they didn't even keep me for another round, especially considering they both take so many grade risks you would think they would try to keep the "smarter" girls around as long as they could.

I was shocked and disappointed when Tridelta cut me before pref. I'm not sure why I was surprised now since I didn't have any connections in the house. I guess it's just hard getting all the way to sisterhood round and then being dropped by a house you like. It's ok though, found the perfect home for me!

I was cut by basically all the "attractive" houses after IWTs (PM, ZTA, APhi) which definitely hurt a little because I had a 4.0+ with 2 recs per house. As an active I still don't really know what happened with ZTA and APhi because as someone else mentioned, my house wouldn't cut a girl with recs and grades after IWTs unless something was seriously off... Just goes to show you every house recruits differently.

Alpha Phi and ZTA cut me after IWT and I was shocked. Solid GPA (above their average) and I'm pretty. Phi Mu kept me and so did most Old Row houses so I don't know what happened.
