Ok, so I am just annoyed with phony people and phony presentations. You get what you get at most places. Aphi is going to be OOS mainly, pretty, wild etc. don't go in here thinking it's academic. That's not a cut. There ARE smart girls but it's not their vibe.
Kd is a snobby, wild place. You will feel awkward if you don't fit the mold. Kappa is 1/2 monied and have whatever. They have a place for most everyone. Some will feel more in charge.
If you're wild, don't hide it. If you don't care about grades, don't criticize others who do. If you are into pageants, be proud. If you are religious, be proud. Lots of choices. Just be authentic.

I 100% agree. YES, there are different types of girls in EVERY house, but each house definitely has an overall "vibe" or "type." In a more social house, you will find it harder to relate to your sisters if you're more studious. In a more chill house, you will find it harder to relate to your sisters if you're more outgoing and involved. In a more studious house, you will find it harder to relate to your sisters if you're a party girl.
I do genuinely believe that every house has every type of girl... But at the same time, every house does have a majority of one "type." To any PNMs reading, I'm not advising you to rush based off of reputations... However I am advising you to rush based off of how you truly feel. Your gut feeling is always right, so if you walk into a house and feel like you need to act a certain way then the truth is if you do end up pledging said house you will always feel like you need to put on an act for the next four years. Pledge the house YOU feel yourself in, especially when there's such an emphasis to pledge a "top" house. Rush is the time to be selfish and do what's best for you.

I never said that girls don't find their homes in top houses. All I'm saying is that there's a lot of pressure from a lot of different people to pledge a "good" house... Which leads PNMs to be untrue to their personal feelings and pledge a house that isn't a good fit for them. I'm not trying to hate on any of the houses here... But it's a fact that top houses have many girls who are extremely unhappy in those houses because they only pledged said house for the status.

Love this comment. The top tier houses for an individual PNM are the houses where they feel most at home. That's all there is to it. It is not brain surgery. What some random puts on some chat board means nothing to anyone other than the random poster, if it is genuine. But most stuff on this board is trolling and agenda driven stuff when it comes to ranks and tiers and such.
