AOPi didn't start demolition until mid-February so I would be surprised if they are ready for move-in by winter break. My guess would be they won't finish until the middle of spring semester and won't be able to move in until 2018 recruitment.

I think the above comment is more accurate.. that house is about to be huge I dont think its possible to get it all done in less than a year. Plus I think football season may slow it down a bit.

Just checked the ua construction projections. Aoiis house isn't expected to be done until june 2018. Pi phi will be done this December. Delta zeta will be done May 2018. These were the only sorority construction bids as of march 2017.

Yep. Since rho chi groups are nearing 120 I think they have maxed out the occupancy in the swing houses. That's probably around 300 people including matching team and kitchen staff. Last year they did it was 2015 and apparently it was miserable

They can't rush out of that house anymore because there would be too many people in one space at one time. I think this may be the last year the DZ swing house can be used during rush because rush groups keep getting bigger. But as far as I know PBP and AOPi are the only ones in the stadium and DZ is in their swing house.

Just looked and I guess the old adpi house is still okay to rush out of-- surprising because all the freshmen in my house said at zetas parties last year you basically just smiled at each other the whole time because it was so loud. Hopefully they'll find a way to alleviate that this year

Pi phi was one of my favorites during rush last year tbh because their space actually gave us space to breathe. You werent shouting in an actives ear what your major was and having to repeat yourself 1000 times. Rushing out of the stadium isnt exactly ideal because of course we want everyone to see the beautiful house we spend all our time in, but I would say it helps more than hurts when it comes to the actual rush experience.

^^ this is actually very true, didn't end up going pi phi but their rush was a better experience than some at the smaller houses. Theta and DZ will have the most difficulty when it comes to cramped space this year. Like a previous person said, zetas rush out of that house was impossibly loud and hot.

Personally I loved Pi Phi's rush and they made the space look so beautiful. I really agree that rushing out of the stadium is better than rushing out of swing houses. To me, it didn't really matter that they weren't rushing out of "their home" because the house that you eat meals and study at and hang out with your friends doesn't look like the house that you're rushed in.

The stadium is sort of ideal. So much open space and good acoustics. Seems like every house that uses it does well in recruitment, even when they are facing construction and delays before a new PC can have access to a house.
