What does it mean for them to be on social probation? And why are they? Will pnm be told which houses are on probation?

1. Being on social probation means that for the time period they're on probation, a house is not allowed to have any sorority-sponsored social event, such as swaps and date parties.

2. ZTA is on social probation because of that huge dirty rushing scandal.

3. During rush, PNMs are not told which house are on social probation... And usually, no houses are on social probation the beginning of the semester. I know DDD was on social probation for a little while because they were drinking in the house during HoCo, but other than that I don't think there were any other houses on social probation this past school year... Obviously, I could be wrong about any other houses, but to my knowledge, DDD was the only sorority on social probation.

The only way to know for sure is to ask them. Just find a way to bring it up in every house at IWTs. They'll tell you the truth.

You should ask if you want to know.

Do you know what lying is? I know a lot of houses lie about a lot of different things so they don't scare off the PNMs.

Actually, lets be honest, you have a better chance of getting the truth from the actual house, than you do a bunch of randos hanging out on this site.

Pretty sure @To be sure was being sarcastic with her suggestion, anyway. I'd imagine you'd find yourself more than a few houses down if you actually asked them.

That said, why is there such a mystery around this anyway? I like that houses have to disclose costs this year, and if they are actually on probation, they should have to admit that too.
