Like the person above, I don't really think anything. Reputations and stereotypes only go so far... You're not going to see a girl with XYZ letters and automatically attach whatever rumors you've heard to her. Everyone is their own person.

I just assume they are someone's sister

I've seen girls that are not at all attractive and said that. But I've also seen drop dead gorgeous girls and thought the same thing about lower tier letters on her shirt. It goes both ways. Soooo much more goes into rush then can be seen from the outside

Honestly, I am surprised all the time - both ways, good and bad - about girls in certain houses

Not only on looks, but personality, activities and grades too.

This sight is a very big exaggeration based on a few girls and the stereotypes are a bit self perpetuating in that people,look for the aspects of each house that are consistent with their rep.

While the reputations do hold some general truths, when you get to see and meet individual girls they are not simple stereotype based on their house.

Your head is going to be spinning if you see letters and think she must be "smart, pretty, attractive, slu---, Christian, bit---, boring, nice" etc based on the fact she is in letters XYZ and then you meet the girl and think, hmmm that wasn't right. Happens all the time. The girls are real,people, not stereotypes.

This should not be surprising!

I have a friend who joined a house that I really didn't click with during rush.

We can hang out together, laugh, and have fun. I really like her.

But, when she is around three to five of her sisters, it just falls apart. I just can't relate - as a group they get annoying to me. She loves her house and her friends in her house, and while we are friends - just can't relate to each other's bigger group and house.

Guess it kinda shows how you may click with girls on an individual basis, but not necessarily with the vibe of their house.

Someone notes that by end of sophomore year the house rep thing has about zero meaning. Can see how the individual friendships "take over" and the house groups wane.
