What kind of clothes should I plan on buying for the semester? I would like to buy as much as I can over the semester but I'm from the west coast so I don't know what's popular at ua. What kinds of things should I buy for game days, going out, or just going to class? I know people generally dress casually for class but I don't want ro wear high school tshirts haha. What kind of casual clothes do I need?

Don't buy tshirts. You will get plenty of those.

I'd recommend that you go to house instas and scroll way back to last fall. You can see how we dressed for almost everything. Obviously styles will update, but you'll get the idea.

Bring every pair of running shorts you own you'll need those for class. I agree with the poster above who said not to buy t shirts, you'll want ones that are sorority and Greek life specific. Look up the instas of boutiques in Tuscaloosa that should help too

Ok so everyone tells you you're gonna get a ton of shirts and to not bring a lot, but what do you wear those first few weeks to class while you're still stocking your collection?

I would bring 2-3 weeks worth of casual shirts, tank tops, jean shorts, sundresses, rompers, whatever... Honestly just wear what you wore at home. If you are from far OOS you will probably need some time to "adjust" to the Bama style of dressing anyway. A lot of girls buy Bama gear the summer before they go to college or during Bama Bound/move in so you could wear a lot of Bama apparel.

Plus if you're the same size as your roommate you guys can swap clothes which makes everything easier, although I was a totally different body shape as my roomie and we were fine.

Do you think think Chacos and otbts will still be in? I don't have either but am thinking about buying a pair of each before I go down. Worth the money?

For Chacos it depends on where you're from... If you're not from the South I don't suggest buying a pair. They're not the cutest shoe nor will they be popular where you're from. Most people who wear Chacos are very outdoorsy people. I'd suggest Birkenstocks over Chacos.

And OTBT will still be in style.

Game Day: Brace for heat. It will be hot and humid. You'll need sunscreen too. And you'll get really hot. And a game day is a really long day. And it's really hot...

Not to contradict everything you said but gamedays can definitely go either way. The first couple you're so hot you're melting but by the end there will be girls who have scarves and gloves on for a night game.
