burke

Eh. Not the absolute worst, but compared to Tut, it's pretty bad in my opinion. I lived in Tut and 100% suggest it! People like Burke because it's basically like Tut except with a dining hall... But I liked Tut because it was really big, it's beloved by many on campus, it has a convenience store, and it was really fun meeting girls in literally all the sororities. If you're rushing, Tut is a must! I'd say about 97% of all girls in the building are in sororities and it's so fun to walk around the hallways and look at all the decorations and stuff. I know there are some sorority girls in Burke but not nearly as many, so it's kind of empty during the week of rush.

It smells

I lived in Burke this last year. I wanted pres but i committed late so thats what I got. honestly I made the best of it and loved freshman year so it was fine. no it was not as nice as pres, but I loved my room mate and talking to her all the time (even tho you'll spend most your time in a sorority house, starbucks, library, class ect.) so I really only slept there and got ready there. you might need a air filter and its not the cleanest BUT it is cleaner than tut (tut will have throw up on the bathroom floor every weekend) but burke, i never had that in burke. The market downstairs is nice and so is the dining hall for every now and then convince.its close to tut and really everything I think its the best location on campus. Freshman year will fly by, so decorate it all cute, and make the best of it and enjoy it bc I would give anything to relive it! (I'll be a sophomore this fall :)
