what kills me
by: 2I'm always amazed that where you come from can impact what house you choose. There are houses that girls would give anything to be in, and those same houses have girls that wouldn't be caught dead there. All based on what your hometown says. It's weird. And dumb. Your hometown may not even be that great.

There is definitely a bias towards certain towns for instate girls and a huge bias against "northern" girls. many of the southern girls have a superiority complex that I just don't get. Yes you stayed in Alabama to attend college but you are surrounded by people from all over the country that if given the chance could become great friends. Just because you come from Alabama or certain towns within Alabama does not make you better or more worthy. Old traditions are great and all but so is change and expanding your mind and social circles. Staying close with high school friends is important but so is growing as a person and learning from people that aren't exactly like you.

True to a certain extent but no where near the divide that goes on here. Just read the posts that rank pnms and you will see exactly what the op is talking about.
