3.0 or above is okay but you really want to be much closer to a 4.0... a 3.2 will probably get you cut from some houses that will consider you a grade risk. I think the average gpa in the rush pool is like 3.6. With that being said, if you have an outstanding resume, have good recs, have good social skills, look nice during rush, have a clean social media presence, and TRUST THE SYSTEM you should be happy wherever you end up! Best wishes!

Can you lie on your GPA? Are you SURE they verify it?

The university gives the sororities everyone's GPA, we know your actually GPA so please don't lie...

Why would you lie about your GPA? If you're as dumb as a stack of bricks, own it. If you get in a house and don't keep your grades up you go on probation anyway. Which means you still pay for everything but can't do anything, so epic waste of time and money.

I know of a couple sororities at least who consider under a 3.3 a grade risk. It's not bad, but your options will be minimized and at LEAST 2 or 3 houses will probably drop you because of your gpa

Yes, a 3.2 is bad. The average is a 3.6, so you're well below average. Several houses will cut you first round for that. Tell your younger sisters and friends the importance of coming in with over a 3.5. Over a 3.8 will open a lot more doors for you.

I have a 2.9. What houses cut for grades?

They all cut for grades. Under a 3.0 means your going to have extremely heavy cuts first round. Just have realistic expectations of where you might end up going in.

Because even the houses with low gpa are wanting to improve. Nobody likes the grade shaming.
