to the people worried about safety at ua

You are ultimately responsible for your own safety. Be smart, make smart decisions, and you won't have anything to worry about. Don't get into the car with a drunk 35 year old who wants to take you off campus. Don't get blackout drunk in public.

The amount of hand holding people want is ridiculous. This is the real world, bad things can happen. Grow up, make smart decisions, and be accountable for yourself.

Campus police are always around, as well as TPD. I really have not seen a larger presence at any other college I've been to. Campus is well lit, and easy to walk/bike.

It is crazy how coddled some of you seem. Go to a big city like Chicago, STL and then come crying back here about how dangerous Tuscaloosa is.

let's see those stats on tusc. crime vs northwestern or u. of chicago when pared on the same size as UA.

we aren't talking about going to school on the south side. you are pathetic to not want safety measures and just wanting to argue.

Chicago and STL has a huge murder rate. Are you kidding me? I'm against the US turning into a police state, and pro self defense and accountability.
