Oh right, I forgot about the girls from Atlanta, the panhandle, etc........ obviously there are top pnms from everywhere but the vast majority of them come from the south, especially Alabama. They're older friends are all actives.. that's what makes them top pnms, among other qualities of course but having connections is definitely number 1
No matter how you spin it, a girl from Boston or LA could be the exact same on paper as a girl who went to mountain brook or a private school in Montgomery, and the girl (assuming she is well liked) from Alabama will get a bid every time

And this is going back to well before this summer, of course. There may be top girls that are late to declare and so may be hidden, but in general social media attention is a good tell

They have non-southern OOS in the house already. Tons of them. Old row and new row. These actives know who is coming from their area and let the recruitment team know about them. If the person you have in mind is from some random area where no in-house actives could possibly know them, then idk. My guess would be from camps or maybe the girl has not always lived out in the middle of nowhere.

Also, legacy. The non-southern oos pnm may have a mother or other relative that was in the chapter. You never know. Bama grads are everywhere.

You know you're a top PNM when you prefer your boyfriend to be on his back. LOL
Seriously! You'll know if you're a top PNM when you have a full cart at the houses you've picked. Other than that don't worry about it If that's you, congratulations! If not, then focus on the house you'll like.

Sorry if you took it that way, but I really didn't mean it to be rude. Literally a thousand girls come into recruitment thinking they are going to be sought after by the houses, and it just doesn't happen for them. Then they are heartbroken. I really meant it as a caution, in case you were wondering if you were one.
