houses choose you. you don't choose them

Can't stress this enough. Do NOT come into rush thinking you are in the driver's seat. The houses cut you. You do not cut them. So many girls end up heartbroken because they think they are a top PNM and will have their pick of the litter. Then they get here and realize there are 1,000 other girls with identical qualifications to theirs and then they realize they're actually middle of the pack.

If you want to have a good rush experience, come in with an open mind and don't think any house is beneath you.

Amen. Can't say this enough. Even if u?were the it girl at your high school, there are literally 100 girls just like you. Be nice to every girl, every house, every time.

This be nice thing applies also to life outside of the recruitment events. In the grocery store, at Julia's, at dining, at tents, on the bus rides and whatever. You never know what gets overheard and then shared.

PNMs let this be the one piece of information you take to heart from this site. Don't think too much about biased rankings or bad reviews. Go into rush humbled and willing to make a genuine effort with each house. There are hundreds of other girls just like you.

Unless you are one of the total package or super connected "top" pnm, the only real decision a pnm has to make is what order to rank after pref parties. By then, most decisions have been made for you, so to speak.
