recieving no bid
by: pnmI know that it's rare to end up without a bid through rush, but what are the reasons for this? the percentage is low but it still happens to some girls, im terrified of it.

I believe 93% of girls who rush receive bids. HOWEVER the 7% includes girls who removed themselves from rush, so the number of girls who are dropped completely is actually super small. Usually it is because you are a serious grade risk. It is VERY unlikely you wouldn't receive a bid unless something about you is seriously wrong (grade risk, pr risk, 700 pounds etc.).

- The percentage in which girls do not receive bids includes both girls who were released from rush and girls who dropped on their own will
- The amount of girls who were released from rush (didn't get asked back to any houses throughout the week) is tiny. I've only met one girl who was released and she was very weird. But other reasons may include girls who have a combination of terrible reputations, grades, personalities, etc.
- Girls who drop on their own do so because they either saw that sorority life wasn't for them, it was too expensive, etc.
- I think the percentage of girls who don't receive bids is like 7%? I know that Panhellenic works very hard to ensure a high Bid Match rate so the majority of girls end up in houses.

Agree for those that "stick with it", there are very few girls who don't get bids.
Girls do decide to drop during rush for a variety of things - that is included,in the seven percent.
I was aware of a few girls that dropped because of the deep cuts after IWT. Down to one or two houses. Have no way to know what would have happened if they kept going with these (few) houses.
But there are girls that quit when they don't like what houses they have left - in later rounds too.
Don't mean to play psychologist, but do think that sometimes it's more about the hurt of being cut by so many houses, than about the house(s) they have left.
Keep an open mind is good advice.
So is "tough it out". Focus on who "wants you" not on who "dropped" you!
