rush 2017
by: PNMWhich houses are going to be more sought out for? Is zeta boosting their 3.0 GPA requirement with the new house? Are the housing currently being built going to have better pledge classes?

1. Typically, AXO, PM, KKG are all pretty highly sought after among PNMs from all areas/backgrounds.
2. I haven't heard anything about ZTA raising their GPA requirement. But a 3.0 is suggested by all houses. ZTA will probably continue to take many grade risks, even though they're in a new house, no hate that's just how they operate.
3. Typically, you do see a slight peak in interest for houses that have brand new houses. But it's nothing monumental. A house isn't going to flip ranks or erase reputations. Take PM for example, they had finished their house a few weeks before rush 2016, they were expecting a very, very good pledge class, but they some how struggled a little (as seen with their Fall COB). That being said, almost all sororities are in new houses by now so no one really cares enough to pledge a house because of that.

At this point it prob does not matter because the houses that are still building have their challenges anyway (other than PBP). PBP having another semester in the traitors is not ideal, but they seem to do okay and also ZTA did okay a couple of years ago even though they had the same situation at that time. So don't see the housing really affecting anything. I also have been surprised that the new house did not pay off big time for PM and does not seem to have made a difference for KD. Looks like the pnms don't really care about the physical houses as much as finding the right place for them, which is kinda impressive.

DZ, AOPi, and PBP will all still be under construction by the time rush rolls around. PBP is expected to finish their house before second semester.
