YES. Greek life here is very popular, I mean it is one of the biggest Greek systems in the nation, but that's not all we offer here! This school is amazing and provides so many different opportunities (academic, philanthropic, social, etc) for those who choose not to participate in Greek life!

It's a great school. Greek is great but not for everyone

Yes it's definitely worth it!! I rushed sophomore year and I still had an amazing time here as a freshman!! You'll be just fine as long as you get involved in something - living in the honors college dorm, doing a club sport, writing for a school publication, getting really into a club, doing youth ministry/religious stuff, doing research, whatever floats your boat.

I love my friends that stayed independent and they love bama, we just decided to allocate our time in different ways.

I have quite a few friends who aren't in Greek life and they love alabama just as much as I do. They are also all pretty girls though so not being in a sorority honestly doesn't affect them that much besides having to work harder to meet people freshman year
