recruitment is soon so pnms here is the truth:

Every sorority at Alabama has its merits here. Every single one. Calling someone bottom tier is cruel and subjective. Who old row may think is bottom may be a sorority who thinks that Old row one is bottom. A northern girl with a certain style will find certain Old Row girls frumpy, while those Old Row girls may find the OOS ones tacky. You cannot single out a certain girl and classify a whole sorority. That said, here are some overall views that may help as you look for your place:

Alpha Chi--a very respected sorority overall, with many pretty girls and high achievers. Great rushers. Very active on campus. You will be expected to take your grades seriously. Very strong sisterhood.

Alpha Gam--very respected with some very outstanding girls. Tend to go after Mountain Brook. They have outgrown their house which is not their fault but do have a lot of very sincere girls and a lot of girls who party hard and pretend they don't. Sisterhood has been questioned because of the homecoming incident.

Alpha Phi--alot of pretty girls and a lot of OOS. Style tends to be more northern than typical for alabama, lots of makeup etc. Girls like to go out a lot. Grades are questioned, but they really aren't that far behind.

Chi O--strong chapter and great rushers.Highly competitive--mixed bag of alabama girls and OOS. The two do not really mix but it is still a strong group of girls. Have some fun events, very active on campus like alpha chi.
