what's the deal with ddd? never hear about them.

by: ddd

I feel like I have an idea about most houses except DDD. Lower top house, decent grades is about it. Do they party much? Involved in campus? Hard to get a bid from? Thanks!

tri delt and alpha gam are both two of the more lowkey old row sororities, which is why you rarely hear about tri delt. they're an okay house, tbh there's never really any news about them, good or bad. they take a lot more oos girls, compared to some other old row houses, and they do have decent grades. I've heard they have a split house and some internal drama, but I'm not a tri delt so i can't confirm that. overall, not a bad house but not the best.

Irrelevant house. That's why they're never mentioned here. Because no one cares about them.

Consider it a good thing when a house is hardly mentioned on this website.

Unless you're the type who likes drama and constantly being in the spotlight. For good and bad reasons.

Overall great sorority in the past, but has lost their place in the ranks. Formerly a top tier, but now maybe only mid-tier. If you are from the Birmingham area and not from Mountain Brook, forget it. Girls from the better parts of Birmingham (Vestavia, Hoover, Spain Park, Oak Mountain, Briarwood) always get cut very soon. The Mt. Brook regime wants to keep the blue bood "pure". That old attitude is now hurting them. They still like old Mobile and some out of state. Like all sororities, they have some great girls and some not-so-great girls, beautiful house, etc. They need to modernize their attitude and get over that old southern money notion or I believe they will continue to go down.

I heard there has been some drama there this year too. Some people saw some Tri-Delts fist-fighting somewhere in public. I am sure they had been drinking but it still looks bad. I think drama and fighting are problems many sororities are having with getting too large. There seems to be more dissension in all the houses than in the past. Rush is so out-of-control, no one really knows how new members will behave after rush, especially if they are from out of state and no one really knows them. That is not unique to Tri-Delt. I know my house cut some really, really good girls that I wish we had taken and pledged some that I wish we had not. Things are just so rushed and crazy during recruitment, it is hard to know.
