positioning

My house does. If you're one of our top girls, we'll sit you in the middle of the room. If we're unsure about you, or don't know much about you, you'll probably be around the edges or in a corner. But don't worry - if you're in a corner and the girls that talk to you really like you, you might still get invited back.

If you're a PNM reading this, please do not pay attention to where you're positioned during rush. Please focus on the conversation and presenting yourself well. You can drive yourself crazy trying to decipher the "secrets of rush" but it's pointless. As an active said above, her house brings the girls they really like to the middle of the room. But I know other houses bring girls they really like to the outskirts of the room so they can hear better. While other houses might bring you into a completely different room. While some houses truly don't do anything with a rhyme or reason.
I know when I was a PNM going through rush there was a lot of tent talk about these kinds of "secrets." But it's honestly a waste of time trying to decode things when you should be worrying about managing a well spoken conversation.
Good luck to everyone! :)

I can tell you 100% that my house does not do this EXCEPT FOR PREF.
During the first 3 rounds where you're sitting is strictly based on where the girl you're talking to was assigned to sit/stand. The active has been assigned a place by the house to be, it doesn't mean you're of less or more importance to us. The only exception to this is if you are a legacy. If you are a legacy then you'll be at the back of the party so you're the last to leave (so we can talk to you longer). PLEASE DO NOT FOCUS ON THIS WHEN YOU'RE RUSHING!!! You could be the first to leave but if you leave a lasting impression... then it's the exact same as being in the back.

in most houses there are certain rooms or locations where top PNMs sit but honestly we mess it up fairly often so you may not be where you're supposed to. take it with a grain of salt because you won't really know what certain rooms mean until you're in the house.

Exactly this. If you are too nervous about where you're positioned to have a decent conversation then you won't be asked back anyway. Don't freak out and focus on what you can control.
