if i don't have connections how badly will it hurt
by: sophomoreHey y'all, I'm rushing as a sophomore and I have a pretty good GPA and was involved in a couple different things on campus my freshman year. However, I don't really already know any girls who are already in sororities. How badly will not having "connections" with anyone hurt me? Are upperclassman bids mostly extended to girls who already have friends in the house? Thanks!

A good friend of mine rushed sophomore year and only really knew girls in two houses and she had a full schedule all week and ended up where she wanted (a middle tier new row house). I'm sure there will be houses where it will matter, but honestly from what I've seen it shouldn't impact you too much
