Every single sorority at Alabama has a group of very diverse girls. Some always knew where they would be, based on connections, and some people decide during rush. Some girls choose the easy path and stick with high school friends or go for the "name" and some decide to do their own thing.\n\n\n\n\nOf that group however, there are some who stand out for WANTING to think outside the box and have

My take is this--based upon good experience I might add--

KD--wants MB, Mobile, and certain Montgomery girls. They basically want anyone who Kappa might get. They are confident that their name will bring girls in and it often does. The problem is that once the girls are there, they are split into cliques and there is very little sisterhood or on campus involvement. They like to party and are at the low end of grades.

Chi O-- encourages campus involvement...very competitive and misleading on some stats but a great chapter just the same. Likes to steal KD legacies and does so easily if the girl is interested in doing her own thing. Heavy in Montgomery and getting more MB. Good Tuscaloosa girls too. Definitely cliques but not as bad as KD.

Kappa--lots of rich MB and Mobile girls who they concentrate on during rush. Lots of OOS and Huntsville too but not from the same backgrounds as the MB group.... thus cliques. Kappa is a fun sorority though and has upped their campus involvement....

Alpha Gam-- Lots of MB girls who have ties and legacies from various areas. Kinda dull overall but nice

What this fails to list is that from the middle up is like a 3.5. I think that's way better than average. These houses are separated by tenths if points grade wise, so this list is misleading.

I like most of these but I do think saying KD is "at the low end of grades" because they've been within .05 of the Panhellenic average for the past several years and that's not really low. Most of the sororities are pretty close grade-wise although AXO tends to be significantly above and APhi/GPB/ZTA tend to be significantly below.

KD and KKG have the lowest grades of Old Row. A fact is a fact.

@No brains there

What does that have to do with anything? We are talking about all sororities, not just old row ones. I know PLENTY of smart women in KD and Kappa (and EVERY house for that matter.) Take your negativity elsewhere, you aren't helping anyone.

love how the OP said negative things about everyone but AXO. yeah we get it, they're a good house but far from perfect lol. if you're gonna go through the effort of making a post like this, at least TRY to be objective and hide your self ranking.

I don't think the OP seemed to favor alpha chi at all.. didn't say much about them. To me, seemed to know a lot more about others. It seemed pretty objective to me.
