spring rush

Your options may be limited in the fall but not a lost cause. Don't wait for spring try it in the fall and if it doesn't work out you can try again. Make sure everything else i.e. Refs, outfits, social media etc... is in order to give you the best chance.

100% rush in the fall. your gpa honestly isn't that low... grade risks generally are the ones who have below a 3.0 and they're the ones who really struggle with being asked back to houses. if you're involved in anything outside of academics, that'll be something you want to mention on your resume as well as in person.
so honestly a 3.3 isn't that bad, especially if you have a few extracurriculars. spring rush is difficult because you awkwardly get placed into a pledge class of 100+ girls that all already know each other. also spring rush cuts your available houses down by a large margin and you generally need to know girls in the houses you want to rush in the spring to be seriously considered.
obviously everything i just said was just a generalization. if you feel you're inadequate to rush this fall and want to try to rush in the spring then by all means go ahead. just know that fall rush is much more conventional and you meet a lot of girls just through rush... you can always rush again if you don't get a house you love during fall rush. good luck!

3.3 is definitely not a terrible GPA going into rush and should only slightly limit your options, it is much better to rush and see what happens than to depend on spring rush because that is a total gamble.

U probably won't be cut solely because of your grades from most houses but they won't help you. I wouldn't worry too much, go through rush now and focus on the things you can control like your outfits and social media etc. I know a couple of houses have nationals that are strict about gpa and you're considered a grade risk if you're under a 3.3 so I'd try to figure out what exactly the gpa you're going to get is, whether it's over or under 3.3.
