while chi o is pretty open-minded compared to the other old row houses, its still not easy to get a bid. you need to look really put together during rush, especially if you're OOS. chi o is super serious about their GPA, so you need to have really good grades. they save all of their grade risks for the in-state girls, so having a 4.0+ is super helpful if you're OOS. it helps if you're cute, but i wouldn't necessarily say they rush on looks. it also helps to have connections, but they do take a few girls without them. chi o's a great house but definitely dont get your heart set on one house!!! keep your options as open as possible because you never know what's gonna happen!! all houses at bama are stellar!!!

chi o is an awesome house because its a melting pot of personalities are people who bring something different to the table. With this being said...the girls in chi o all usually have a superb resume ranging from being involved in high school to having good grades. They look to carry the tradition for future members and uphold a well respected reputation.

Ok, this used to be true, but has NOT been for a few years. The two years in a row of race scandals hurt them, and they have taken girls that I was shocked by. By that I mean, girls with good reputations, but 3.1 high school GPAs and zero activities. I'm sure with as many legacies as they have they will get it eventually turned around, but it isn't there currently.

Just google it. One year it was a member and the very next year a pledge. I think they've gotten it fixed now, but it was the current graduating senior class and the upcoming seniors.

Not all high schools weigh your gpa so telling pnm a 4.0+ is helpful is misleading. Maybe in Alabama they do but not everywhere. Colleges only consider unweighted gpa for that reason.
