filler girls

THIS is fake news. There are like 4 girls out of 19 on KKG's exec board on their website, and KD has only 3 or 4 girls. SOME Old Row houses are more fair to OOS girls, but some of them are extremely biased towards in state and they DO get special privilege. I've experienced it firsthand in my own house. PNMs, if you're OOS and care about being put second after in state girls, a good way to check if they lean in state is to go on their websites and look at their exec boards.

@^^^, so what are you doing? Are you actually being a good "friend" to PNM's and steering them AWAY from your Old Row house? I don't think so.

To future PNM's, go where you feel can be your most honest self. Those houses that invite you back really want you as their sister. The whole "filler" idea is not what goes into choosing a pledge class. It's kind of sad that other people feel that about themselves, but as a woman who has been on recruitment committee in my house, that's not what we are doing. We are looking for sisters. Go in with an open mind and chose what feels like it could be your home away from home. As I said, I'm having a BLAST in my house. I have met so many girls that are from everywhere, not just Alabama ( my house is over 50% OOS AND it is Old Row) and I love everything about it!

I never said what house I was in. Also some PNMs don't care about holding positions and other stuff that in state girls get first priority over, so if they don't care then it doesn't matter if they join a house like that or not. I wish I had known though before I went through recruitment, because it DOES bother me. I'm not completely miserable in my house but I definitely would've been happier somewhere where the in state and OOS girls are treated the same.

You're so demeaning to yourselves. Like, is no one worthy of being in your 200 person pledge classes? So much so that you call everyone else "filler"?? By that standard, most of our chapters are made up of this filler....
We all go around saying not to take getting extended a bid lightly because it is so difficult here but now we some how have to give bids to filler" girls who are somehow lesser? make up your damn mind Bama.

I completely agree that OOS girls aren't "better" versions of the in state girls. The in state girls are usually more popular too. To be honest I'm sick of hearing some OOS girls in my house complain that they never get positions and that the in state girls control everything. What did you expect in an old row house?? Of course in state girls have more pull and are given priority!!

Lots of OOS PNMs don't know any better. We don't necessarily know all the house reputations because we're from around the country, and we didn't live on GreekRank before rush. Our rho chis spend the whole recruitment telling us not to listen to rumors and not to check GreekRank so no, lots of girls are bummed out when they realize this house they loved all week doesn't care about them as much because they're not from Alabama.

The OOS quality that goes to Kappa at UA because Kappa is good in Texas is almost the only thing they have on the rise right now (other than a new house).

I am confused by all the KKG hate tbh and it really makes me think a lot of the people who are saying all this stuff really aren't apart of the greek system, has no clue what they're talking about, or has a huge axe to grind...KKG takes a lot of OOS girls and of course they take in state girls...this IS the university of ALABAMA, do we forget? If you don't like the state or the girls in the state don't come here...but the point I'm trying to make and am confused about is that other old row houses take far MORE In state girls idk why Kappa keeps being brought up besides getting their MB/Mobile girls who a lot are legacies...again it is the state of AL and their moms went here, etc. mostly KD, then XO, DDD, AGD are more in state. AXO, PM, KKG take a lot more OOS.

Lol, Kappa IS a top house. Maybe you don't think so because you're in a bottom tier house and got dropped from everywhere else. We've always been top and always will be. Kappa is wanted by all PNMs and competes with AXO and PM for the top PNMs.

Omg Kappa shut up. You do not compete with AXO and PM. You and KD split your 60 Mobile/Mt Brook girls and then you take 100+ fillers and KD takes 100+ fillers. Only difference is KD doesn't want them from OOS so they're more limited in quality.
