Totally depends on who you are. If you have a lot of money or you have connections in the house, a house like Kappa can be a breeze.

Relatively difficult unless you're from the south from a school with connections..... not impossible though, but compared to other houses those two are definitely two of the more difficult ones. They're also very popular during rush and a lot of girls like those houses and enjoy getting invited back there

There are plenty of KKGs I know from up north, especially in the newer pledge classes. No connections. Probably just money.

Honestly they're not that hard to get into, as most of the houses have to take filler because our pledge classes are so big. I will warn you that in Kappa and even somewhat DDD, there is a clear A-list and B-list and if you aren't one of the popular girls, it's not as fun as you would think.

^^^ I cannot echo this enough. Just because you have a top house at pref, do not let ranks sway you. Trust me, you'd rather be the coolest girl in a middle tier house, than the misfit in a top house. I made this mistake because I wanted Old Row so bad and one month in I was miserable. Things are better now, but I should've gone with my middle tier second choice. I'm loser friends with those girl than my own pledge class.

This is so true. I'm in one of those houses, and I wish I had gone with my second choice at pref sometimes. It's a new row, middle tier, house with a stronger sisterhood and where I felt most myself. I was dumb enough to let all the girls saying "oh you're preffing _ house? That's such a good house!" sway me. I have met some of my best friends in my sorority and I definitely am happy, but there is a clear in state/out of state divide. The in state girls get lots of privileges and there's a lot of resentment by the OOS girls because we're so over the in staters getting so much pull.

definitely a kappa, out of state kappas echo this all the time and I've heard from all of them they're over the in state girls running everything. Not a great sisterhood .....

Northern OOS.

Went new row although had both these houses at pref.

Know girls In each. They envy my decision.
