do you have to have thick skin to be in a sorority

After reading all this hate on certain sororities and how competitive the process is I'm unsure about rushing. I thought it was something I always wanted to do but it seems like a lot of stress and insecurity.

Trust me, you will be able to feel out which houses will actually support their sisters vs tear them down. I was worried about the same thing as you, but I found a sorority that has a really great, supportive, sisterhood.

sororities are definitely pitted against each other, but honestly, the competitiveness is what makes it fun. everyone wants to win homecoming, and thats why that week is like the best week of your life as a freshman because you're so pumped up from wanting to beat everyone. it make seem like it on here, but i promise the competitveness never comes from a bad place; we all just love our houses and our sisters and we want them to succeed. please please please dont let this site discourage you from rushing. anonymity gives people an excuse to be mean.
