by: ?Is character not considered at all when choosing Rho Chis?? I'm not going to say which houses but there are some girls who are Rho Chis who are just awful people and reflect extremely poorly on Greek life.

I think Panhel tries to get good actives with the right attitude, but so many girls are so good at avoiding trouble and painting an image that is different than reality.... But I agree that there are many that are sort of surprising to those that know the "real" persons involved.

It's a job interview that you can basically lie about. Embellish your accomplishments to seem more important and helpful than you really are. Go in and actually fool them in person. Be recommended by decent people who may not see them for who they are.

Just know about half of them do not keep their vow of impartiality seriously and are a constant source of information to their houses, both for and against you. They really do a good job of sniffing out the fakers. So -- be yourself throughout and trust the process. The spy rho chis are part of the process...

PNMs need to be aware of this. One of my Rho Chis was awful and very manipulative and a lot of girls didn't realize it as much until the end of recruitment.
PNMs- be wary of how much you confide in your Rho Chis. Some of them are genuinely sweet and unbiased girls. Others have an agenda and will try to turn you away from certain houses.

Sad but true. They probably liked you on paper and social media and got excited about you, then she leaked out her take on the real version and they decided to go in another direction. It was for the best.

It honestly makes me kind of sad...some girls who perpetuate tiers and talk badly about other houses openly are Rho Chis...I can't imagine that being a positive thing when they are supposed to be unbiased and support PNMs finding their home, regardless of what that house may be.
