by: Just CuriousI was reading on one of the sorority pages that New Members go on an a nice overnight retreat to get to know each other. But it read like the rest of the chapter does not go. Is this typical?

Not sure exactly how it works in houses beside mine, but in my house exec and a pretty large group of (mostly) sophomores who were picked to help with the new member process go on the retreat. The main purpose is you getting to know your new pledge sisters, but you'll still meet a lot of actives too.

Yes, that's normal! It was just be your pledge class and exec. Exec will give you the rundown of what your new member process is going to consist of, and also tell you some rules that you have to abide by. You'll get a lot of information all at once but it's really is so much fun, and it makes meeting your pledge class a lot easier!
