why is aphi so bad

Alpha Phi takes the grade risks that Zeta, Phi Mu and Pi Phi don't want, and they don't care about any girls high school reputations, so they end up with a lot of sleazy girls. There are also some great girls in that house, but until they become more selective during rush, they'll remain a bottom house.

Aphi is the same everywhere, hot party girls. At schools with serious, old row Greek life those qualities aren't enough to be considered top. At most other schools across America, those are the exact criteria of a top tier sorority. As a result, they're top almost everywhere but struggle at schools with more deep rooted GL.

You can see really quickly once you meet aphi and zta that those girls would be the top sororities at basically any school other than ours. Truth... You heavy homely old row "top tier" girls would neveeeeer get into a top sorority outside of a few old school southern schools like bama. Aphi isn't bad they just don't fit the bama stereotype ... and thank the lord for that!

Actually at most schools it's based on being frats fave, look at uofA, ASU, OSU, UCLA, USC, CUBoulder, UF etc. Aphi is top at all of those schools and I could go on - their reps are the same there as here. Get out more

APhi is not bad. They are a good sorority. They really focus on recruiting very cute girls and do not shy away from grade or reputation risks, that's all. The make up of the house is thus very diverse and does not fit the mold of several of the old row houses, who are more cookie-cutter. Stop the hate. Not every sorority should seek to be like every other.

They rushed based solely off looks a few years ago which had its downsides obviously but actually did pull the house up a ton since it was new

Like I said everywhere outside of the south and the reason for this is that southern school have different standards (old money, "class") than west Midwest big 10 etc where looks and party rep make you most desirable

They are very good at UT. Not Big Six,because that is a tradition which will never change whether deserved or not. But very good.Gee they are only or 2 years old at Ole Miss. Don't know much about them there,but I think they are doing well. I like A PHI. I didn't pledge them but have lots of friends there. If they would just improve their grades they could be real contenders

"basically any other school than ours" well sounds like you've never been to UGA Ole Miss Tennesse UF LSU or anywhere else with a relevant greek culture....
