big/little

Are big/littles not a big deal at Alabama? I've been following several sorority girls on insta and never see anyone posting pictures with their big/little. I'm coming from the north and won't know anyone at bama and was really excited to get a big next year to hangout with with. My cousin is really involved in her sorority at Carolina and is always hanging out with and bonding with her little! will I find that at bama?

tbh i came from the north too and i thought that big/little relationships were going to be a lot more than what they are. you probably see all the stuff on sites like TSM where bigs and littles are inseparable but it's not really like that here. i mean it's kind of a situation where you get out what you put in - so if you make in effort to hang out w your big then yeah y'all are going to be really close. but from my personal experience and from what i see with a lot of other girls in all the other sororities, big/little is more of a label and a tradition more than anything else. each girl is pretty invested into her own life and it's kind of hard to integrate someone in a completely different grade and pledge class into your life constantly.

This school nor Greek life at this school is elite.

My experience is the opposite - very close with my big.

But agree it's kind of inconsistent. I'm fortunate.

Depends on your big and which sorority you're in. Making friends in your pledge class is more important.
