The op said something about how some gpas may have changed and if that's true it won't be in the 2016 Greek chic book

I doubt there was a change in GPA requirements for the houses. But if there was it was a minor change (like a tenth of a point).

PM - very wealthy, very attractive, fun, involved, take in more southern girls and they tend to take in a lot of beauty queens/crimsonettes/etc
AXO - very smart, religious, involved, take in more southern girls
KKG - very good connections, smart, fun, wealthy, take in more southern girls, a lot of the girls know each other from high school/hometowns/etc
DDD - good connections, smart, take in more southern girls, don't ever really hear anything bad about them & don't really hear anything great about them
XO - smart, take in more southern girls, basically a lesser version of AXO
AGD - smart, religious, involved, not wild, take in more southern girls, not the type of girls you see on Old Row's insta
KD - very good connections, social, wealthy (old money), only take in in state girls with the exception of a few, all the girls come from one suburb or another of Alabama, all the girls already know each other for the most part
PBP - fun, social, take in more OOS girls, pretty lowkey
ADPi - smart, involved, take in more OOS girls, the new row version of AGD
ZTA - social, "party girl," "attractive," basically like APhi but just higher ranked, take in more OOS girls, the kind of girls you see on Old Row's insta
DG - involved, take in more OOS girls,
APHi - social, "attractive," tend to take the grade risks that PBP & ZTA dropped, take in more OOS girls, the kind of girls you see on Old Row's insta
KAT - smart, involved, fun, take in more OOS girls

GPB - take in more OOS girls, not much to say since getting a bid from them is pretty easy
AOPI - take in more OOS girls, very relaxed group of girls
DZ - take in more OOS girls, again not much to say since almost everyone is guaranteed a bid from them

(Side note: when I say "OOS" I don't mean like the surrounding states to Alabama I mean like the North and the West coast)

Way off base on some. Let's try again:

PM: smart pageant girls. High drama house (Old Row)
AXO - very smart, involved, low drama, religious (Old Row)
KKG - smart, outdoorsy, mostly southern but more accepting of northern/western girls than other old row) middle drama (Old Row)
DDD - smart, good sisterhood and low drama. One of the chill houses (Old Row)
XO - very smart, very involved, strong sisterhood, low drama. Another chill house (Old Row)
AGD - smart, involved, strong sisterhoods and low drama. Chill house, religious (Old Row)
KD - prefers Alabama girls, small town types, high drama (Old Row)
PBP - Strong sisterhood, low drama chill house.
ADPi - smart, involved, New Row version of AGD
ZTA - not as focused on grades, lots of crimsonettes, similar to Phi Mu but less "pageant girlish". High drama
DG - involved, smart, chill
APHi - lowest grades, not involved, takes the grade risks PM, PBP and ZTA drop, lots of northern girls
KAT - smart, involved, lots of northern girls, easy to get a bid
GPB: good sisterhood, low drama, chill, lots of northern girls, easy to get a bid
AOPi: low drama, chill, not too focused on grades or involvement, easy to get a bid
DZ: middle drama, not too focused on grades, easy to get a bid

Please stop. Let PNMs figure this out on their own during rush. Half of these descriptions are off base anyway.

It's the same chi o that's been living on this board for weeks. So obvious by who they put down and build up. Sad.

the first person who described the houses did it the best. those gave a general overall type of girl that each house looks for. keep in mind though that those descriptions aren't set in stone though. obviously houses take girls that differ from their general reputation (for example ZTA is known for their party girl rep but they also have girls that get real good grades, KD is known for taking Alabama girls from old money but they do also take in girls from the north, etc).

Let's group them. These are all generalizations. There are exceptions in every house. Some houses fall into multiple categories:

Pageant girls: PM, ZTA, APhi

Southern girls: AXO, AGD, KD, KKG, XO, DDD and PM

Northern girls: GPB, APhi, DZ, AOPi, DG, KAT

High involvement/good grades: XO, AXO, ADPi

Less focus on grades: APhi, ZTA, DZ, GPB

Low drama/chill: AOPi, ADPi, AGD, DDD, XO, DG, KAT, GPB

High drama/infighting: PM, ZTA, KD

ZTA and APhi aren't known for having pageant girls. PM actually takes in a lot of past pageant girls, more so than any other sorority on campus. ZTA and APhi are too Northern to have a good amount of girls that were once pageant queens. I mean I guess you could compare PM, ZTA, and APhi since they do tend to focus more on looks during recruitment, but besides that fact there isn't really much to compare...

IMHO, ZTA has lots of pageant girls. Good for them!
