What does it mean when you pref a house first but you don't get them on bid day?? Like if you make it all the way to pref with a sorority, doesn't it mean they want you?

It means they wanted you, but filled up before they got to your name.

It means that all along the system only allows you to join ONE group.

I assume you attended three pref parties.

Wasn't it grand that THREE houses WANTED you?

How many other women got to say they attended THREE houses for pref?

And if you listed all three on your bid card, you could STILL only get one on bid day.

And you did!

It means that they wanted EVERYONE that they invited back. Just like you rank the sororities, they rank the PNMs. If you didn't get a bid, you ranked them higher than they ranked you.
