some sorority qualities
by: PnmHi I'm just trying to get a feel for certain houses and I don't hear to much about Alpha Gam, ADPi, KD, Alpha Chi, Gamma Phi Beta and Tri Delta so I'm wondering what some of their qualities are and even what kind of girls they are interested in/look for in a PNM

every single house here wants the best girls possible. basically every house wants a well rounded girl... smart, wealthy, fun, flirty, pretty, social, outgoing, involved, etc.
AGD - they take in more southern than northern girls, religious, smart, pretty, involved
ADPi - they take in more northern than southern girls, smart, involved, independent
GPB - they take in more northern than southern girls, i don't mean this in a rude way but Gamma Phi doesnt really have an major qualifications for girls to receive bids since its really easy to get a bid from them
DDD - they take in more southern than northern girls, smart, good connections, some importance on old money but not as much as you see with KD (who they cross rush with)

i wouldn't consider virginia culturally souther. i mean yeah they're below the mason dixon line but the lifestyle there is more like how it is up north.

Virginia is not like the north whatsoever except northern Virginia which is only because it's right outside of Washington DC which is where all the politicians reside, so unfortunately it makes the whole state of Virginia look like yankees. It is below the mason dixon line and it's mostly southern cultured but maybe with an edge depends on which areas. I personally would consider it to be a "southern state" but the more southern sororities at Alabama may disagree.

@Lol um I'm the one who wrote the response by "act" so she was probably asking me so back tf up. and in my opinion Virginia is not culturally southern. geographically i guess it's considered south but i'm from the north and no one would ever say that they think the state of virginia is culturally southern.

The only time I really hear about AXO and KD is because someone is bashing them, and I rarely see posts about DDD (could have missed them idk I come on here randomly) so I wanted to hear their actual qualities! As for the suspicious thing... idk what to tell you but believe what you want.

DDD is a great house. No drama and doesn't waste their time on this craptastic site.

People talk about who is best and who is relevant on campus.
AXO. Their members and fans will talk about their grades and 3.7 GPA. Old row. Lots of claims of top house. The detractors will say they are over achievers, annoying and not particullarly attractive, fun or social.
DDD. Get allot of respect due to history and reputation. They have a core of in state and southern girls but also will recruit OOS. Have observed the sister hood to be a bit cliquey and divided.
KD. Focused and selective on recruiting Alabama girls from connected families. Again, the insularity is great if it describes you. But if not attracts "hate". I am OOS and was not on their list. But, I like the ones I've met around campus and in classes.
GPB. Have at time suffered allot of "hate" on GR. Tend to be an easy bid. I'd say they are a bit independent minded. Broad mix of girls and types. Girls who want sorority and Greek life but who may not have arrived at rush prepared to compete for the top houses.
ADPi. Similar to GPB. I'm not a huge fan of ranks and believe it's up to you to see where you click. But have noticed that ADP does tend to rank higher than GPB for what it's worth.
AGD - religious and southern. They are who they are. You either are or you aren't. Respected and usually left out of the GR fray because not much else to say
