alpha gam

by: :)

Not trolling!!! I honestly am curious about Alpha Gam. I know they're Old Row, but I never hear anything about them, which I guess is a good thing. From these boards, they seem focused on grades and maybe more religious than other houses? Do they party? Involved in campus? I don't know any actives or alums, so having a very hard time finding a ref for them. Any input?

AGD is a great house. Smart girls, involved in campus and generally stay out of drama. Personally I think they're more religious than most other houses, but not in a "shove it down your throat" kind of way. I don't think they have a big presence regionally because I never could find anyone to write a rec for that house. I'd say they're a top 5 house.

I think AGD is definitely a really well respected house here. During rush they never wowed me so I never really had a high interest in them during recruitment. They are old row and they do tend to take in more Southern girls than Northern. AGD and AXO are the two houses with the most religious girls, I'd say. Like every house, they have their partiers but I wouldn't say their girls are wild like some of the other houses here. Overall, I feel like they're more lowkey on campus. Of all the old row sororities, they're the most quiet in my opinion.

Thank y'all! THey may not be quite the right fit for me, so I don't think I will worry about the rec so much.

Keep an open mind! Just because you think it may not be a match on paper, keep an open mind until you actually meet the girls. Rush is stressful, but a lot of fun. You'll know the right house for you by the end.
