Do Sororities houses effect the girls that want to pledge them? Like I know DZ, AOPi, Pi Phi, and Theta still don't have new houses yet so does that factor into girls choosing them?

You mean "affect" them. And yes, it does. I didn't want a sorority with an old house where I knew my four years would be spent in an old house and a swing house and I'd only get probably one year with it finished. Petty? Yes. But at least I'm honest.

The plus to the older houses and swing houses is that their dues are less than houses that have just been completed. Higher mortgage means higher cost. Also, girls currently in swing houses that will get new houses in the next year or two, their rates will jump significantly. That is something to factor in when you are walking through those brand new beauties.

In all honesty, yes, the housing situation does affect PNMs opinions, or at least it did for my friends and I when we rushed. I went into rush thinking I didn't want a house that was going to be under construction during my four years here. It is completely shallow but I didn't want to be spending so much money towards dues only to be in a swing house or something. Ended up that me and a lot of my friends from rush accepted bids to various houses under construction. A pretty house is great and all but it doesn't mean everything. All the houses will be done within like 2-3 years. I pledged my sorority for the connection I felt not because of the house.
