what are the real sorority rankings here?

Hey LOL, you mus be new to campus.
Old Row does not refer to how long a sorority has been at UA. It's a separate group of fraternities and sororities that pay into a big fund, have a big beer party and get a T shirt. That's all.
The term USED to refer to the old fraternity row around the stadium, but that has shrunk over the years (more rapidly over the last few years as the stadium expands). It had nothing to do with sororities. Top sororities were called the "circle" sororities because AXO, AGD, KD, DDD and XO were close to or on the circle and they were the tops groups on campus.
Did you know there used to be two (actual) circles on sorority row?

Have to put this in every so often cause people here are crazy.

I'll agree that nationally they're nothing to write home about. Bama and Auburn are their only decent chapters at big schools.

Sorry but AGD is not good at Alabama....they are literally considered the Gamma Phi Beta of Old Row. They are not attractive and kind of a nerdy group of girls......Girls always pledge the better new row sororities over Alpha Gam any day!!! Sorry girls but true!!!

So sorry but Alpha Gamma Delta is not a good house at Alabama. They are not attractive and have a rep for being a rather nerdy sorority at Bama. I know personally that girls rushing will choose pledging the top new row sororities over AGD. Sorry but True!!

Pretty unkind thing to say, dontcha think? Actually Gamma Phi is getting better every year. In fact I'd say they're more at the top of the bottom or bottom of the middle now. I'm from out of state, so I don't instinctively understand the old row thing, but I'm lucky to be in an old row house. Still, I loved the girls I met at Gamma during rush.

I agree. Gamma Phi is 200% better than they used to be. Six or seven years ago they would struggle to get 30 or 40 girls during formal rush when quota was in the 60s and 70s, and they were on the verge of losing their charter. They've worked their butts off to get where they are now, and they deserve a lot of credit for pulling themselves back from the brink.

Sounds like you have quite the issue with Alpha Gam for some reason. All the houses at UA have great girls and rush is very competitive.
The truth is Alpha Gams are considered one of the best and definitely top-mid tier. These girls are sweet, beautiful, and intelligent. Bear Bryant's great granddaughter is a member here as well.

Alpha Gam is definitely not middle of the road. Just check out their website. Beautiful sweet girls who are well respected on campus :)
