why do so many girls drop after rushing?
by: HmmmmHow come certain sororities have tons of girls drop after they get a bid? Bad sisterhood? Hazing? What's the deal.

I think it's a combination of sticker shock as the costs are high and a feeling that they didn't end up where they envisioned themselves...largely due to the presence of GR! Lastly, some find themselves exactly where they thought they wanted to be only to find out that the girls are largely exclusive...not inclusive...which is sad!

Yes. It is sad. Young women tearing other young women down is inexcusable. All it does is show the wickedness of the person posting the hateful comment. Nothing more. Sadly, most PNMs don't understand that yet.

Girls drop for a combination of things. Some just wanted to go through rush just to see where they'd end up with no intent of actually pledging the sorority. Some drop because they end up at a house they didn't particularly like during rush and don't think it'd be worth a shot to pledge for a while just to give the house a chance. Some drop because they end up at a house they loved during rush just to find out they don't fit in in that house. Some drop because dues are too high. Those are the big reasons.
