new row / old row

Can someone please explain the new row and old row meaning? I'm confused on the difference of what would be an old row top versus a new top top and what not!

Old row would be a Mecedes Benz. Heaped in tradition and old world.

New row an Infinity. An upstart that's a little more current and trendy.

If you can get into an old row house, take the bid. It's harder to get bids from these houses because they are very highly selective. You must be the complete package - top grades, very involved, great reputation, etc.

The posters above clearly did not make the cut for membership into one of the old row power houses. Anyone can get a bid from new row. You've got to be something special to get an old row bid.

Agree, we are in Alabama, but Not sure your of point other than to make it clear that old row is of significance primarily to in state people with roots here.
